Coffee, cakes and ice cream
A tiny and recommended patisserie/café located on the Singel, just near the flower market. Not-too-sweet pastries and tall cakes echo the recipes and inclinations of the former German owner, plus local and international specialties including waffles. In January 2019 Mark Dunselman took over from Claudia Dunselman, who since 1999 had run the business with her brother. In 1986 their parents took over from the original German proprietor (started in the early 1960s), who had combined the names 'Lans' (an Austrian patisserie he loved) and 'Kroon' (this bakery's original owners) to come up with the one-off 'Lanskroon'. There are benches out front for sitting in the sun while licking home-made ice cream or sipping a coffee.
