Riis Park Beach is New York’s historic gay beach. It’s been a social and cruising space for queer New Yorkers since the 1940s and it’s still going strong. When the weather is good you can the vibrant gay scene. It’s like a gay nightclub, only it’s a beach in New York. What’s not to like?
You’ll find it in Queens along the Rockaway Peninsula. The gay section is at the eastern end of the beach.
