In Business Since 1972 - We are Proud of The Fact That We are The First All Male Bar To Open After The 1969 Stone Wall Riots.
We are a well-worn survivor amid the current Christopher Street mix of Book Stores, magazine shops, kitschy rainbow gift stores, coffee shops, and pre-Chelsea gay bars. Inside, comfort rather than fabulousness rules, with slightly rickety wood tables and chairs, TV's tuned to normal shows and Major Sport Events rather than music videos, and a big bulletin board covered with ads and local event flyers. Don't expect any sort of dress-up from the patrons, either: T-shirts, non-designer jeans, and lots of baseball caps predominate with our Eclectic,30-and-up, Bear, Cub, Otter & Hipster Crowd who often sport beards. Friendly to a fault, Old school Cruising and actual Conversations, No Attitude Atmosphere, We take Pride in our dedication to and support of, the Gay Community and the Historic West Village.

Wonderful spot with an excellent staff!! Crowd was friendly and inviting, as well. Drinks were extremely reasonable in price with a great selection.
